Lizzie graduated from Auckland University where she gained a Bachelor of Commerce, with majors in Finance and Economics. Lizzie then studied at Massey University adding a Post Graduate Diploma of Business in Accounting. Her working career was dominated in the commercial space, which then developed into jointly running a successful SME, so she totally understands the stresses. With this experience under her belt she decided to make the move to public accounting so her passion for business and people could be used to achieve great things. What she loves about Maxims is the atmosphere and working alongside a great team in an amazing office.

LILANIE KRUGER

Lilanie is the newest member of the team, fresh off the boat from South Africa!

She started her career straight out of school, doing her articles and part time studying. She graduated with a Bcom Accounting Sciences degree from the University of South Africa and registered with the Institute of Professional Accountants of SA.

She has over 20 years of accounting, management and auditing experience, with her last job working as the Group Financial Manager for one of South Africa’s largest privately owned construction companies. Her passion is helping clients, striving to deliver top notch service and giving the client the best possible outcome. Lilanie takes a real interest in how a client’s business operates, what makes them tick and loves the reward of being able to help in any possible way she can. She loves sharing knowledge, and also learning from others!

When she is not being an “accountant” by day, she loves spending time with her husband and kids and taking the opportunity to explore every bit of this beautiful country they now call home.

She is very excited and happy to have joined the Maxims Team and looks forward to building relationships with both clients and colleagues alike.

LARS VAN GESTEL

Lars is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree majoring in Accountancy from Eastern Institute of Technology. Lars has experience working within a variety of industries making him adaptable and open-minded.

Having served his time in one of the “Big 4” accountancy firms, he made the decision to move to smaller boutique firm and has never looked back. Lars discovered that Maxims gave him the opportunity to get to know both his clients and their businesses on a one-on-one basis – a huge positive for a people-person like Lars, and an even bigger positive for his clients who can call him anytime with any question, no matter how big or small.

Lars has a passion for assisting clients to improve efficiencies in order to allow them more freedom to follow their aspirations.
